Note To Self:

Dear Self,

Upon returning to work the first day it is not a wise choice to dwell very much on what your baby might be doing while you're thinking about her. It's even more unwise to think that she might miss you and start to get all sentimental and goofy. It's even MORE unwise to sing your baby's favorite song all by yourself while nobody's around thinking you can send out your mommy-love into the Universe so it can find your baby and somehow soothe her. (Ya damn hippie horomones much??)

Por Que you ask? POR QUE dumbass you might only make it one verse into "My little Sunshine" before spouting an eye leak or two and end up bawling in the laundry room all alone (thank gawd) where you work.

Gotta remember not to do that anymore.

And BTW does anybody else's baby only like ONE song? I sing all sorts of things to my little pigglet but the ONLY thing that makes her happy is "My Little Sunshine." I end up singing it not less than 20 repetitions in a go and she's just fine and dandy with it. God forbid I throw in a little Alicia Keys or Beyonce or even row row your damn boat. Goofy ass baby.

Awww when did you start back to work? I know you miss her when you are working. Who keeps her for you - abuela?
My baby like some kind of song called cacahuates y pistaches.
He watches the video on TV and then when they start saying - con sal, limon, y chile- he starts bouncing up and down. You'll have to hear the beat to it and imagine a little chunky baby bouncing up and down, sitting on the floor.

Isn't weird how baby's get so attached to one song! Hope loved "You are my sunshine", Nick loved the Barney song, Ashley loved "Mama's little baby likes shortenin' bread" and Jack loved "Itsy-bitsy spider".

Anyway, be strong, Mama! Just keep thinking that you're working to make money to give to little Miss Daisy! :D

My sister's co-worker's son insists on "Bob the Builder". So you know, it could've been worse.

Crystal - First off - AAAWWWWWWWWWWWW that sounds TOO adorable! And I know the song, my husband played it for her off of youtube once or twice. :) I went back to work yesterday and yeah, the abuela is watching her for now until I get more hours or a second job and then Chino will stay home with her :)

Leslie - Awwww your babies too!? That's so neat :) And I'm sorry but HAAAAhAHAH for the second one loving the Barney Song! It does have very nice lyrics though so whatever, it's just that silly barney stigma :P (kidding, kidding) Thank You :)

Suki - She is elusive with her poo face! :P

Krissie - True Dat! She did like P.I.M.P (unedited) by 50 Cent for a while and although I enjoyed it I'm thinking it's better off that mommy doesn't need to bust out with "slap dat bitch" and "I be a mutha-fu**in P.I.M.P!" and such wilst at family functions. :D

Hey, at least its something you can sing. My husband's god-son was only into Paul Simon's Graceland. They'd bring him to our place or the grandparents or the Daddy's sister's place - and bring the CD along. Not useful when they were in the middle of the mall or eating in a restaurant, however.

Once I mentioned how I hate the song " Sittin on the Dock of the Bay " and my mom said,"Well you heard it enough as a baby." Apparently, that was MY song.

But GAWD do I hate it now!

Mine likes Katy Perry's "Hot & Cold," and the Beastie Boys "Alive." And that is all. So I have to sing "Hot & Cold" and say "you PMS like an itch" so I don't teach her the b-word...

She loves the Backyardigans, though, and thankfully I have never watched it long enough to learn any songs...

Upstate - AHHH for real! You know that makes me thing though, I played my violin for her while in utero - maybe she'd like it now? RIiigggghht.

Raul - LOL now I really want to know what my song was to see if I hate it!

Sunshine - HI! I was thinking about you a ton today! Glad to hear you're cool! :)

Lauren - The Beastie boys - that's heart warming :D And OMLORD stay the hell away from those Backyardagains! My little brother is nuts about them and I've watched WAAYYYY more than any sane adult should. GAAHHHH I can't stand that show. My mom wouldn't let me watch pee-wee herman when I was a kid and Daisy's not getting the back-door-agains. :P
